Painting and Coating Engineer

Work Location: Saipem Romania, Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County

This position is adressed to applicants already resident and with valid work permit in Romania at the time of application.

Tasks:

• Perform the feasibility studies for suitability of the coating, painting and field joint coating systems;
• Review the received documents and elaboration of the input data related to the coating, painting and field joint coating works;
• Select suitable coating, painting and field joint coating materials and systems;
• Prepare technical qualifications related to the coating, painting and field joint coating;
• Prepare the technical specifications and technical requisitions related to the coating, painting and field joint coating materials and services;
• Technical evaluate the offers received from Vendors related to the supply of the coating, painting and field joint coating materials and services;
• Witness the Pre-Qualification Test performed by Subcontractors related to the coating, painting and field joint coating.

The ideal Candidate should preferable posess the following:

• Technical University;
• English knowledge - mandatory medium level; advanced level will be considered a plus;
• Knowledge of the painting, coating and field joint coating materials used in the oil and gas industry, including advantages and disadvantages, properties, costs and other relevant features -will be considered a plus;
• Capability to analyse dedicated Project requirements in terms of local standards and codes and to identify proper implementation actions.
