Education and Experience
- Bachelor degree or above (Master's preferred), major in robotics, electrical or related;
- Above 5 years of Experience in automotive white body production line, battery assembly line or powertrain assembly line;
- Good understanding about electric and robot programming;
- Good understanding of electrical drawings; Basic knowledge about media and mechanic drawings;
- Very good Windows / MS Office knowledge; Basic PLC knowledge;
- Familiarity with major Robot brands, such as KUKA, ABB, Fanuc, Motoman, etc.;
- Understand OEM body shop layout and processes; Understand OEM body shop programming; standards,such as Volvo, Volkswagen and Mercedes Benz etc;
- Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues within Robot systems;
- Strong logical thinking and analytical skills to identify the root cause of problems in complex systems;
- Hands-on experience in Robot programming and commissioning, with the ability to complete projects independently;
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, project managers, and other engineers.
This position contains longtime business trips all around the world.
Job Description
Job Summary
- The job responsibilities of a Robot Commissioning Engineer in BSBA project primarily revolve around the commission and optimization of automated systems to ensure stable and efficient operation.
- Responsible to organize and control of own or hired technical engineers to realize delegated robot programming and joining commissioning work in an efficient way and according to the required programming / quality standard within planned time frame and budget;
- Actively support project team effort in problem solutions to ensure desired project performance in quality, time and cost;
- Prepare and attend customer meetings on the operational level (production, maintenance …) to clarify technical issues define action plan and ensure realization in the committed Timeline;
- Ensure the preparation of all required documents / records / descriptions / planning for the responsible site.
- Strictly follow all KUKA safety and administration policies;
- Continuously monitor and analyze the performance of the systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety;
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of robot programs, control system designs, and maintenance procedures. This ensures that all information is available for future reference and troubleshooting;
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and production staff to ensure seamless integration of Robot systems with other parts of the project. This includes coordinating with mechanical and electrical engineers, as well as production managers;
- Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on how to use and maintain the Robot systems. This ensures that the staff is knowledgeable and capable of handling the equipment effectively;
- Follow company/BU/department requirements/strategies to ensure competent professionalism in solution, project performance and EHS;
