NDT Engineer

Work Location: Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County, Romania

This position is adressed to applicants already resident and with valid work permit ​​​in Romania at the time of application.

Tasks:

• Ensure that all project deliverables and documents (both internal and external) related to the NDT discipline are timely issued and fit for project purpose;
• Review deviations to Company specifications or technical queries to line-up the project technical requirements to Saipem work instructions, in addition to the preparation and submittal of NDT package (scope of work, equipment philosophy and budget);
• Act as the focal point for all matters related to the disciplines and subjects you are in charge of and you will be the interface between Project team, Client/Third Parties Rep’s, operational Ploiesti Technology Center and field NDT Team;
• Liaise with other specialists of the Ploiesti Technology Center team (welding, coating, asset, maintenance), to ensure consistency of the qualification and fabrication activities;
• Monitor Tendering budget and project costs during the engineering and execution phases.

The ideal Candidate should preferable posess the following:

• Technical University;
• mandatory fluency in English;
• previous experience in conventional NDT (VT/MPI/DPI/RT/MUT) methods in manufacturing, fabrication yard and/or offshore vessels - will be considered a plus;
• certified as Level 2 in compliance to EN ISO 9712 (or equivalent) in the above (or part of the above) NDT methods - will be considered a plus;
• be familiar with the welding technology and the consequent common defectology;
• knowledge of the main fabrication and NDT international standards (DNVGL-ST-F101, API 1104, ASME V, ASME B31.3, AWS D1.1, ISO 9712, etc.) - will be considered a plus.
