Sr Controllership Analyst - Audit and Statutory Reporting (Hybrid)

Qualifications:
· Well organized, detailed, analytical individual with min 5 years of Accounting experience (Audit for the Statutory Reporting with Audit roles)*
· Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting;
· Knowledge of US GAAP / knowledge of IFRS is a plus;
· Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.);
· Fluent: English. other European Language may be a plus;
· Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

*years of previous similar experience may differ as we often hire Jr. Accountants/Accountants as well

We have an opportunities for several (Senior) Accountants / (Senior) Controllership Analysts / Statutory Reporting Specialists with Audit to join ︁︀​︂︃︃​︈︃​︀our Corporate team in Bucharest.

Sr. Accountant responsibilities:
· Performs accounting activities which may include General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inter-Company, VAT reporting transactions, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
· Processes and check journals according to the defined procedures and accounting principles and legislation;
· Produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management;
· Scans statements, ledgers, and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items and selects the correct procedure to verify or adjust discrepancies or errors;
· Responds to specific questions from business stake holders and clarifies situations when necessary;
· Provides accurate analysis of reconciliation records to third party documents;
· Ensure all journal entries comply with internal and external audit specifications.
· Meet country and Honeywell internal deadlines.

Statutory Reporting with Audit:
· Supports local finance team in preparing the stand-alone and consolidated statutory financial statements, tax and management reports
· Ensure all comments and observations from external audit are included in the final reports
· Helping to develop and maintain statutory country templates
· Prepare and perform quarterly/periodical statutory adjustments ( bridges between US GAAP and Local GAAP)
· Prepare reconciliations for statutory accounts as per required timing
· Maintain the relation and support with the Statutory Audit Process (gather and submit information)
· Ensure the final Financial Statements are in the required local format
· Ensure yearly entity governance existing countries/ERP’s (new entity set up’s / updates to entity master data / mergers / liquidations)
· Responds to specific questions from business stakeholders and clarifies uncertainties/cases when necessary
· May establish, modify, document and co-ordinate implementation of reporting digital tools
· May coordinate ad-hoc projects as regional activities transitions, finance IT tools implementations;
· Maintain and make use of other finance and non-finance departments for achieving the goals;
