As Senior Contracts Specialist you will provide sales-related Contract Services to MEA World Area, with minimal levels of supervision. In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Reviews, drafts and negotiates agreements and transaction documents in compliance with applicable policies and legal and ethical standards, without supervision, including in:
+ Responding, within established guidelines, to customers’ RFP/RFQs, vendor qualification documents and contractual requests;
+ Drafting and negotiating with customers, appropriate contractual language to reflect the business interests and policies of the parties;
* Takes the Contracts Lead role on
+ Complex international and multi-BU project contracts;
+ Complex frame agreements (multi-BU & -WA);
* Acts as Global, World Area or BU Contracts Lead for Global Strategic Accounts;
* Interfaces with customers, members of the legal team and other Emerson stakeholders to bring deals to closure;
* Analyses business, financial, and legal risks;
* Researches information on existing agreements and contractual programs, assisting with analysis and compiling data for reports;
* Provides contract-related guidance to Sales, Project Management and other stakeholders;
* Participates in the approval process to assist business owners in making informed decisions and secure appropriate approvals;
* Develops and communicates creative solutions and mitigation strategies to key negotiation points;
* Assists in the mentoring and training of Contracts Trainees and Contracts Negotiators

For This Role, You Will Need:
* 5+ years of work experience in a contracts-related role
* Bachelor’s Degree in related field
* Completion of IACCM Advanced Contract and Commercial Management (CCM) Practitioner and IACCM “Oil & Gas Contracting in Practice” strongly preferred
* Intermediate MS Office skills
* Excellent oral and written English and French language skills
* Excellent negotiation skills
* Extensive knowledge of Contract law & principles
+ Commercial provisions such as warranty, liquidated damages/penalties, payment and freight terms, documentary credits and bank guarantees/sureties
