Candidatul Ideal

Your profile:
  • Material Science/Chemist engineering diploma, or equivalent experience (at least Bachelor degree);
  • 3 to 5 years of seniority in a similar role;
  • Hands on attitude and adaptability to schedules from production;
  • Autonomous, responsive, results and details oriented;
  • Advance English skills; French is a plus;
  • Ease to use the tools of the Office suite;
  • Good capacity for synthesis and analysis;
  • Good communication skills and easily work in team;
  • Proven experience of problem solving techniques (PDCA, 6M, 8D, etc);
  • Previous experience in greenfield projects, transfer of work or industrialization is a big plus.

About us:

Sonaca Aerospace Transilvania (SAT) is a company established in 2015 near Turda, activating in the aeronautics field. ︁︀​︂︃︃​︁︂︁​︆︄SAT is part of Sonaca Group (Belgium) and produces in Romania three ranges of products:
​✈Assembly of slats for Airbus A320 aircrafts (movable part in front of the wing);
✈ Production of composite parts for the wings of Embraer Legacy 500 and E2-190 Aircrafts;
✈ Assembly and production of composite parts for Ariane 6 rocket.

SAT currently has around 140 employees, with ambitious plans to grow in the future to almost double the current size.

Sonaca Group has been awarded to develop the Inboard Flap of the A321 aircraft (movable part in the back of the wing) and to industrialize this project, we will start a fully new building (green field) in Romania with the following processes: Sheet metal forming, Surface treatment, bonding and assembly.

In this context, we are looking for a Process Engineer Surface Treatment & Paint to join our team.
(NB : the surface treatment line is fully automated and includes a penetrant inspection process – brand new equipment)

Your Mission:

Your mission is to develop, configure and optimize the industrial process from inception through to start up of certification and during the production activities.

You will be responsible for the following tasks:
  • Industrialize new products to be manufactured using project management tools and methods (define work procedures, follow-up of the first parts to be manufactured, etc.)
  • Define the need and ensure the start-up of new means of production (specifications, follow-up of suppliers, machine installation, etc)
  • Define technical process, lean layout and equipment requirements, control and software standards;
  • Provide technical support to production, particularly through operator theoretical training (processes, work procedures, audit preparation);
  • Conduct audits of process compliance/traceability in the workshop (NADCAP certified process);
  • Improve manufacturing methods and tools in order to optimize the process using PFMEA methodology;
  • Analyze Customer specifications, create or modify internal procedures in accordance with these Customer specifications, or issue deviation requests if necessary;
  • Participate in root cause analysis on quality issue with the operational team in order to define the right actions to be taken to eliminate defects
  • Participate in the quotation exercises for new products
  • Manage the implementation process of Tartric/Phosphoric Surface Treatment, coating and paint;
  • Establishing safety procedures together with the H&S responsible for individuals working with dangerous chemicals.
