Furthermore, the ideal candidate has:

• Min. 3 years of Head Office Retail Buying or Category Management experience.
• Experience and knowledge of the Category Manager for Cosmetics and Detergents industry.
• Previous experience within the Travel retail category (distinct advantage).
• Solid track record in developing bottom line impact within the categories managed.
• Education to degree level, ideally in a sales/marketing or business.
• Proven negotiation skills.
• Excellent English language skills, oral and written.
• Experience with Excel and proficiency as IT user.
• Orientation towards results, analytical skills and a winning personality.

Descrierea jobului

These are some of the exciting responsibilities you can expect to meet:
  • Develop overall category strategies across Travel Free ︁︀​︂︃︃​︁︂︇​︁︂︈business utilizing analysis and insights to maximize profitable sales and drive efficiencies in stock with a view to optimizing cost of catalogue and company cash-flow.
  • Analyze category performance across individual stock keeping units to continuously develop and optimize the category assortment to maximize absolute profit per passenger incl. right pricing and overall promotion strategy.
  • Analyze and understand passenger shopper trends, consumer insight and shopper categories to tailor the retail assortment mix to the passenger mix.
  • Optimize sales per liner meter to ensure optimal in-store space allocation for brand/category.
  • Work cross-functionally with other category managers, marketing and operations to develop execution plans for the category strategies.
  • Work with suppliers and utilize supplier insights to develop the retail assortment in specific categories which are curated for local customer needs.
  • Develop and agree activation plans for key initiatives incl. merchandising and promotion recommendations.
Capitalize on opportunities to enhance margins i.e. one-off and seasonal purchase and ensure orders arrive in time for peak selling seasons/events.
  • Handle full product lifecycle management incl. stock management and clearance to optimize profitability.
  • Monthly & Quarterly Performance Review with Action
  • Monitor planogram implementation in stores to improve Category.
  • Monitors and reviews category profitability.
  • Define Pricing Strategy and Setting sales prices / Margin responsibility for the category.
  • Actively search for new business opportunities, business models, services, or products.
  • Post Promo Review and analysis and takes Actions accordingly.
  • Solid customer and market understanding and develop latest trends in products by sub-category and customer patterns.
  • Builds Sustainable Joint Business Plans and detail key activities for all sub-categories.
  • Sets the building blocks & annual operating plan for category growth.
