Hardware Design Engineer

Education and experience
Electronic, Automations or Telecomunications Engineering
5+ years of electronics design experience (preferred) with exposure to the following:

• Embedded systems design, using a variety of processors/MCU’s
• Analog electronic design and simulation
• Schematic capture and PCB layout tools, Altium suite preferably
• Debug and test of embedded systems
• Knowledge to use test equipment, including (but not limited) to: oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power supplies, and electronic loads

Scripting software development experience (python, matlab) (needed just for automated testing routines)
Strong written and verbal English language communication skills

About you

• You had exposure to full product development cycle, from design to manufacturing
• You had worked with the ︁︀​︂︃︃​︇︉​︆︄team to define and design of the whole system based on custom set of requirements
• You understand requirements assessment, component selection, design, simulation, review, schematic capture, PCB layout, manufacturing and assembly support, debugging, testing, and written reports and documentation.
• You can utilise a variety of Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools to capture schematics, lay out PCBs, generate fabrication and assembly release packages, understand the mechanical constraints of the design, etc.
• You can follow department guidelines, standards, and processes, including the execution and facilitation of mandatory design reviews.
• You can design and analyse electronic devices to global standards and regulations and perform pre-compliance tests (either coordinating an external partner or using in-house equipments)
• You have hands on experience in soldering/desoldering components
• You know how to develop functional software for board-testing routines. We usually use python for this but other scripting languages are just fine
• Are able to work flexible hours, part time or full time
