Automation Project Engineer - Investment Projects (on-site opportunity/plant environment)

Role Goal

The Automation Engineer Investment Projects uses technology to improve, streamline and automate a manufacturing process. He is responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring related the investment projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage E&A projects and related activities.
Collect and prepare updated information about the existing control system, including software and hardware specifications (PLCs, PCs and SCADA servers, I / O devices, instruments, variable frequency drives, active and passive network components, network components, etc.).
Collect (if needed) updated the latest automation software backups (PLC, SCADA, VFD, etc.).
Prepare a technical specification for request for quotation related to the field of electrical engineering and automation.
Support all the potential suppliers during filed visits and scope definition.
Participate to design work at all stages of the automation modernization project. Check the project and assembly documentation.
Participation in factory acceptance tests.
Program new automated components.
Installation supervision and commissioning work on the project for the modernization of the instrumentation, control system and MCC upgrade.
Supervision of commissioning and final acceptance.
Guaranty the process and installation safety.
Develop and keep updated cause and effect matrix based on existing software with process engineer as part of projects.
Eliminate defects and errors with product and software development.
Collaborate with other business units (Operations, IT, Industry 4.0, etc.).
Automation third-party management.
Definitions related to the infrastructure and architecture of networks together with other areas of the company, aiming at the segregation between IT and OT networks.
Integration and data communication between the most diverse layers of the network, following applicable cybersecurity protocols.
Support in defining wireless OT network and communication protocols needed to ensure connectivity.
Interaction with process historians, enabling communications and data for deeper analysis.
Interaction with different communication protocols (Profibus, OPC UA and DA, Profinet, etc.).

Ideal Profile

Engineering Bachelor Degree;
Passion for engineering and automation area;
Interest in developing a career in automation;
Experience in engineering on automation role or other engineering areas with interest to develop a career in automation;
English - good level;
MS Office - good level;
