RGDA is looking for a passionate and experienced Public Affairs Consultant to help advance the local game development industry by strengthening its relationship with public authorities, monitoring relevant legislation, and leading other strategic public affairs activities. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who is knowledgeable about the Romanian political landscape and eager to help the gaming industry thrive in Romania.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute public affairs strategies to raise awareness of the gaming sector with policymakers and other key stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze legislative developments that may impact the video games industry, providing timely insights and recommendations.
Advocate for policies that support the growth and success of the local video game industry.
Manage relationships with public authorities, government agencies, and industry partners to foster collaboration and positive engagement.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the gaming industry’s interests are represented.
Organize and participate in industry events, lobbying efforts, and public campaigns.
Prepare reports, briefing materials, and presentations to communicate policy issues and recommendations effectively.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in public affairs, public relations, or government relations, preferably in the tech or creative industries.
Strong understanding of Romanian political structures and legislative processes.
Proven track record in building relationships with public authorities and key stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Romanian and English.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex policy issues.
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive initiatives and influence decision-makers.
