Job Description
As a production planner, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing production plans based on demand forecasts, inventory levels, and available resources.
- Coordinating with different departments, such as sales, purchasing, logistics, and manufacturing, to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
- Monitoring and tracking the progress of production orders and resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
- Communicating with suppliers and customers regarding the status and delivery of products.
- Analyzing production data and performance indicators and preparing reports and recommendations for improvement.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in production planning, preferably in the paper industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other relevant software tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Fluent in English and Romanian, both written and spoken.

The Profile:
Education: University degree in Economics or management;
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in Production Planning or similar jobs ( e.g. Statistics, Demand, Processes, Production, Logistic, Procurement);
Languages: fluent English level, Italian is a plus;
PC literacy: Microsoft Office profficient; knowledge of operating and ERP (SAP and APO) would be a great plus;
Personal profile:
Excellent communication skills, determined, results oriented, structured;
Able to follow procedures to comply to the company standards.
Available and really motivated to stay in Calarasi and to business trips (avg 1 week/month and availability for stays abroad of more than 3 months, when requested)
Job description:
PURPOSE
Coordinating the production planning aiming the strategic and operational use of the Group’s productive plants, ensuring the established service level, warehouses balance and productive efficiency
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparation, Programming and Production Launch:
- Prepares a monthly estimate of production by assortment for each type of paper based on the information received from the direct boss;
- Prepares the necessary raw materials and auxiliary materials based on the monthly production estimates to ensure the material base for manufacturing in a timely manner;
- Keep a record of the technical sheets of the products in the portfolio in order to ensure all the information necessary for the commercial department to promote these products;
- Sends the necessary raw materials and materials to the supply service for products from the country and for import;
- Prepares the production launch sheets for the heads of the production departments, which include the technical and quality parameters that the product must meet, as well as its execution term.
2. Production Tracking:
- It centralizes daily the physical production made by assortments in each production section, the operating times, the downtimes and the causes of the downtime based on the production reports collected from the reports of the production sections;
- Centralizes the consumption of raw materials (pulp and waste paper) on a daily basis based on the reports received from the production departments;
- Calculates the specific consumption of raw materials, auxiliary materials and utilities included in the manufacturing process;
- Transmits the situation of specific monthly and accumulated consumption to the production sections and the direct boss;
- Daily centralizes the finished products entered into the warehouse by assortment based on the handover documents drawn up by the departments to the warehouses;
- Writes occasional activity reports on the evolution of physical production, consumption and finished products and sends them to the company's management;
- Centralizes monthly the purchase situation (raw materials, auxiliary materials, utilities) based on the data received from the supply services;
- Prepares raw material stock movements by assortment (pulp and waste paper) based on the information received from the raw material warehouse and the consumption reports received from the production departments;
- Transmits the situation of the movement of stocks of raw materials by assortment (pulp and waste paper) to the boss directly;
- Monitors the technical and material base daily, keeps in touch with the production departments and the supply service;
- Calculates production efficiencies on manufacturing lines, operating times and production achieved with the technological equipment used in order to analyze the monthly productivity, quality and cost of the equipment purchased from different suppliers;
- Prepares any other task that is directly related to the position held.
