- Completed studies in the field of economics or comparable training
- Several years of professional experience in a comparable procurement position
- Business fluent in English both in written and spoken
- High degree of assertiveness, strong communication and negotiation skills, ability to work in a team and presentation skills
- Strategic thinking, working self-oriented and in as well as a structured way
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience in SAP/R3 module MM desirable
- Willingness to travel (approx. 30%)

Your tasks
- Strategic purchasing responsibility for defined material groups within the business unit PT with the option to develop into a global lead buyer in a next professional step
- Carrying out price inquiries, evaluating offers and selecting suppliers
- Conducting price and contract negotiations, and concluding framework agreements with national and international suppliers
- Establishing and expanding long-term and stable supplier relationships
- Carrying out procurement market research including identifying new sources of supply, price analyses, supplier monitoring, forecasting
- Support in the context of purchasing controlling (e.g. reporting, key figures)
- Designing and implementing purchasing/supplier strategies for the material groups for which you are responsible
- Independent implementation of cost reduction measures
- Continuous optimization of procurement and logistics processes
- Close consultation and coordination with global commodity management and local operational purchasing. Ability to work well in a matrix structure

Our transformers are used by energy suppliers, industrial companies, switchgear manufacturers and energy producers in the conventional and increasingly also in the renewable energy sector.
