As a sous chef you would work directly with the head ched and you would need to:

• Prepare ︃​︁︃︉​︇︂​︁︅︂high quality dishes according to the recipe.
• Lead and coordinate the team for a good functioning of the kitchen opreations
• Assists the cooks in coordinating and controlling all the activities of the Food Production
• Ensure that required standards are adhered to in the production and preparation of food - in quality, quantity and safety
• Ensure that the kitchen staff works harmoniously in order to ensure timely production of quality foods
• Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specification and served at the correct quality, portion size, and temperature
• Manage food logs and check lists
• Ensure ingredients ︁︀​︂︃︃​︇︁​︆︄and final products are fresh.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
• Handle and store ingredients and food.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils
• Execute opening and closing procedures.
• Set up workstations with required ingredients and equipment
• Check the quality and freshness of ingredients
• Monitor station inventory levels.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills and fryers.
