Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Economics or equivalent, preferably with a focus on fiscal matters.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or tax compliance.
• Basic understanding of IT systems and VAT reporting tools.
• Proficiency in Romanian and English; German is a plus.

As a Senior Consultant, you will manage a selection of clients, acting as the assistant VAT controller for their outsourced ︁︀​︂︃︃​︇︅​︀VAT compliance, including:

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage VAT compliance for a portfolio of clients, acting as the assistant VAT controller.
• Stay updated on business and economic developments to understand client needs.
• Serve as the point of contact for international clients regarding Romanian VAT compliance.
• Coordinate VAT compliance projects, ensuring data and report quality.
• Review and approve indirect tax returns.
• Monitor legislative and business changes to update systems/processes.
• Identify and implement improvements in VAT compliance processes.
• Supervise and coach junior team members.
• Participate in training and coaching sessions for continuous development.
• Develop and implement marketing/sales strategies with the tax team.
• Apply firm-wide methodologies and tools, including software solutions.
• Provide guidance and feedback to help staff reach their potential.
