Senior Network Engineer - SIbiu

Position summary :

We are looking for an IT Infrastructure Team member responsible for network related aspects of the infrastructure, which encompasses Strategy Projects (from planning to post implementation), setting priorities, operational delivery, and maintenance of IT infrastructure network solutions that support the company's business.

Education & Experience:

Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management across networking technologies in an enterprise environment .
- Hands-on experience with Extreme Networks and Fortinet Technologies.
- Hands-on experience with Cato Networks SASE technology.
- Strong understanding of datacenter architecture and implementation.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Fluent in English .

Preferred:
- Hands-on experience with NetApp storage technologies.
- Hands- on experience with Oracle Linux and Oracle SQL technologies.
- Hands- on experience with MVWare virtualization technologies.
- Hands- on experience with Windows Server Technologies.

Responsibilities include strategy, planning, implementation, capacity management, incident/problem management, and lifecycle management of all network infrastructure.

Works closely with ︃​︁︄︈​︁︀︈​︂︀︁other cross-functional teams, including engineering, design , quality, manufacturing, and within IT, to ensure that the IT infrastructure network solutions effectively support the business evolving Information Technology needs.

Provides technical expertise in managing all aspects of network technologies.

Applies technical skills to manage an area of responsibility, while managing the budget and cost-effectiveness.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Managing IT infrastructure strategy related to implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Key focus on maintaining a cohesive IT infrastructure network plan across the group global footprint.
- Maintain and execute incident and problem management processes across all network infrastructure.
- Implement a capacity management strategy across all network infrastructure.
- Maintain an accurate asset inventory of IT infrastructure assets within a CMDB (Configuration Management Database).
- Make recommendations for solutions and technologies to help the company remain competitive and support initiatives to digitize and automate critical business processes.
- Develop and enforce It infrastructure network best practices, standards and procedures to extract maximum value from It investments.

The hiring company is part of an American multinational automotive production group. We are looking for somebody for the office in Sibiu. The person can also work remotly from Romania and come to office when it is needed. The role is part of the global infrastructure team.
