SCADA Manager

How can you contribute?
The purpose of this position is to manage the Supervisory and Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Support Division. This is accomplished by supervising employees; developing department budget; managing SCADA network installation; insure the backup of all SCADA systems data and programs; managing projects for SCADA and electrical projects; managing SCADA system security. Other duties include attending organization strategic planning meetings and workshops.

What are the required skilled
Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques and budgeting
Knowledge of using computer systems, which may include setting up and using hardware and software programs, entering data or processing information
Knowledge of TRANSELECTRICA, ANRE and other national energy authorities which operates in the field
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service
Skilled in monitoring and managing performance
Skilled in establishing and communicating performance expectations and metrics
Skilled in time management
Skilled in managing changing priorities
Skilled in anticipating, identifying, analyzing and resolving conflict and problems
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to listen and understand information verbally and in writing

What is the preferred background?
Electrical/ power engineering background from an accredited University in country is preferred
A Master Degree in Electrical engineering, or Business Management
Five years related work experience and supervisory experience
ANRE authorization is a plus
Fluent in English
Computer literate

What will be yours day to day activities?

Communicate with SCADA Operations staff and company management

Ensure compliance ︁︀​︂︃︃​︇︂​︁︇︈responsibilities within SCADA Operations

Interact with other departments to coordinate solar power projects

Maintain the SCADA system operational integrity all over the solar power projects

Supervise the work of SCADA engineers, Site Managers, to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems

Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems and in resolving escalated complaints or disputes

Implement corporate and departmental policies, procedures and service standards in conjunction with management

Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and work to resolve problems

Train and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided

Evaluate employees' job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action

Recruit, train and supervise subordinates

Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff

Develop and review operating procedures

Develop and manage department budget

Establish work priorities and activities

Establish metrics and prepare monthly reports

Coordinate activities with other departments

Prepare and present status of department programs to Board of Directors committees and the Board of Directors

Lead technical discussions on complex system issues, making recommendations and suggestions to management and users

Monitor system performance and resource scheduling

Coordinate the addition of distribution automation devices to the system
