Ro Local Support Officer is responsible for managing the inventory of equipment, ensuring timely procurement, and maintaining ︁︀︂︃︃︇︅︀relationships with suppliers. This role also involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating shipments for remote employees, and delivering IT inductions for new starters in alignment with the Group policies.
Key Responsibilities include:
1.Inventory Management:
- Keep track of inventory levels.
- Identify when equipment is needed and order from the best suppliers.
- Ensure low stock levels are promptly addressed.
- Identify technical specifications for new types of equipment required.
- Engage with suppliers to order equipment and manage stock levels.
- Optimize billing with print suppliers and resolve any printing-related issues.
- Allocate new employee kits.
- Arrange couriers to ship or return equipment for remote employees.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues for remote employees.
- Engage with hardware support suppliers and manage the shipment of hardware for repairs.
- Manage relationships with local suppliers, including print, internet, courier, and hardware suppliers.
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement and maintenance of equipment.
- Deliver IT inductions for new starters.
- Set up IT equipment and ensure new employees are ready to start work.
