Introduction

The Quality Manager at Hofstetter is essential in ensuring that all products and processes meet internal and external quality standards. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems to enhance operational efficiency and product reliability. The Quality Manager is also responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving standard technical documentation related to products and projects.

The person in this role must possess a robust background in quality assurance, a critical eye for detail, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Quality Manager or similar role, preferably in industries such as machinery assembly, pharmaceutical industry, food industry, or manufacturing industry. Minimum 2 years of proven experience with reference.
  • Familiarity with quality standards and regulations relevant to machinery assembly, such as ISO 9001, Machinery Directive, Risk Analysis as per ISO 121000, CE Declaration of conformity, Low Voltage Directive, Pressure Equipment Directive, etc.
  • Experience in implementing and maintaining quality management systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and compliance.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Experience in conducting audits and inspections.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement techniques.
  • Residence in Romania, Bucharest, North or East of Bucharest
  • Fluent in English and Romanian

Descrierea jobului

Responsibilities:

1. Technical Documentation:

To develop, maintain, and improve standard technical documentation associated with products and projects such as ︁︀​︂︃︃​︁︂︇​︁︂︈Operational Manual, Installation Manual, Maintenance Manual, Transportation Instructions, CE conformity declaration, FAT Protocol, and project-specific documents.

2. Quality Management System:
Maintain and expand the existing quality management system.
Establish new quality policies towards improving the overall quality of our products, review and approve standard operative procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the quality management system, recommending improvements and implementing changes as needed.
Conduct internal audits and quality reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.

3. Quality Assurance:
Define and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure that machinery assembly meets specified standards and specifications.
Develop and maintain quality control plans and inspection protocols for each phase of the Projects. Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor and verify compliance with quality requirements. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and assembly teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

4. Supplier Quality Management:
Establish and maintain a supplier quality management program to ensure the selection and monitoring of reliable and high-quality suppliers.
Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on their quality management systems, manufacturing capabilities, and adherence to standards.
Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to assess and improve supplier quality.
Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues, implement corrective actions, and improve overall supplier quality performance.

5. Continuous Improvement:
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by promoting quality awareness with the employees and providing training on quality principles and techniques.
Analyze quality data, including non-conformance reports, customer complaints, and inspection results, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Monitor and report on key quality performance indicators, communicating progress and areas for improvement to management and stakeholders.

6. Regulatory Compliance:
Stay up to date with relevant industry regulations, standards, and certifications applicable to machinery assembly.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and facilitate external audits and certifications, as necessary.
Collaborate with regulatory bodies and customers to address quality-related inquiries, audits, and inspections.
