1. Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Public Health, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety,
or a related field desired
Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) in Romania (minimum 80 hours) is mandatory
Certification in fire safety and civil protection is mandatory.
2. Experience:
3+ years of experience in a health and safety, environmental, or compliance role, preferably within an
educational or institutional setting.
Knowledge of Romanian health and safety laws, environmental regulations
ESG frameworks awareness is a plus
3. Skills and Abilities:
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in managing compliance documentation and reporting.
Proficiency in English and Romanian languages

The Health, Safety and Environment Officer will manage and oversee the
school’s compliance with Romanian legal requirements in occupational
health and safety, environmental protection, and Sustainability standards.
This role ensures a safe, sustainable, and legally compliant environment for
all school employees, students, and visitors by implementing and
monitoring effective health, safety, and environmental policies and
procedures. Additionally, the officer will support AISB’s ESG commitments,
aligning operations with sustainable practices.
