Candidatul Ideal

The Payroll Team Lead will be responsible to oversee the payroll processing for several countries in EMEA, collaborate with the payroll vendor/s and direct the work of the team members supporting these particular countries.

Requirements:
  • 3-5 years experience in Payroll, Finance or HR Operations with cross country exposure.
  • Good level of understanding of UK payroll.
  • 1-2 years experience in leading teams and/or projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Payroll operations (in-house or vendor side).
  • Strong background in working with HRIS, preferably Workday, as well as case management tools, ideally ServiceNow.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with key stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations that require sound decision making.
  • Strong analysis, problem solving, proactive root cause analysis, customer interfacing, conflict resolution skills and Continuous improvement mindset.

Main responsibilities and tasks:
Payroll service delivery management (70%)
  • Ensures timely and accurate data submission to the payroll vendor/s, ︁︀​︂︃︃​︁︂︇​︁︂︈according to the agreed process and timeline.
  • Plans and assigns the activities according to the payroll calendars, ensuring proper resource utilization.
  • Monitors the case volumes and other case related metrics and SLAs, for the Iron Mountain team and for the vendor.
  • Drives high customer satisfaction.
  • Service delivery excellence: constantly reviews the existing processes and procedures, identifies gaps and improvements and makes recommendations for changes.
  • Ensures payroll controls are in place, up to date, and followed through by the team.
  • Makes sure that all processes are documented and reviewed regularly.
  • Closely supervises activities related to the UK payroll processing in particular.
Team Management (15%)
  • Manages day to day activities for a subset of the team, including monitoring workflows, team assignments and processing deadlines.
  • Orgnaises the work in such a way that there is a proper backup structure and plans in place.
  • Monitors performance against goals.
  • Provides timely feedback to the team members, takes corrective steps where needed.
  • Leads with empathy and by example, ensuring high employee engagement and morale.
Escalation Management (10%)
  • Serves as first point of escalation in case of payroll related issues for the supported countries.
  • Manages employee, business and vendor escalations for the supported markets.
Vendor Management (5%)
  • Supports the EMEA Payroll Manager in the activities related to vendor management - monitoring of the vendor performance, services reviews etc.
