Ensurеs thе propеr еlectricаl instаllаtion and tests аnd sеttings of аll equipmеnt prior to thеir operation ︁︀︂︃︃︇︁︆︄by the procеss commissioning tеam. Advisе thе tеam for elеctricаl readiness
Ensuring that testing & setting record documents are filled
Supervising a team of foreman/workers from the electrical sub-contractor for all electrical works during the pre-commissioning and process commissioning
Carrying out his activities in accordance with the project planning and instructions

JOB Description

Technical

Conduct electrical tests and electrical adjustments for the MCCs’ (I/O motor to Scada, cabling inspection,
MCC/LVDB side validation, mongering)
Collect and confirm technical specifications of equipment installed on site (motor plates validation/record)
Program intelligent MCC controller. Make all electrical adjustments and record the results/values of adjustment in test records
Validation of the signals from instruments to SCADA (I/O testing …)
Conduct electrical tests and validation as well as electrical adjustments for the instruments and equipment related to the PLC panels (Instruments, 24v supplies, UPS, cabling validation…)
Program instrument transmitters. Make all electrical adjustments and record the results/values of adjustment in test records
Carry out run tests of the instrument scale (0 – 100% scaling validation…)
Carry out run tests (rotation, dry run…)
Conduct validation of electrical drawings. Correct if necessary (mark-up)
Correct all electrical problems (or supervise the correction) and ensure that master documents are maintained updated
Advise commissioning team for the validation of the Handover step for the building/equipment in the area under his responsibility

Management

Supervise pre-commissioning test conducted by suppliers/contractors
With follow-up eng. organise planning of tests in his areas (transferred equipment)
Supervise modification/corrective works in timely manner to ensure that process commissioning can start

Health & Safety

Ensure that all pre-commissioning works are conducted under approved work permit
Ensure that all pre-commissioning works are conducted under all applicable safety standards and that the pre-commissioning works are conducted in such manner to minimize the risks to the personal and installation during the Process commissioning and after taking-Over
Liaise with Safety officer for all safety related matters during the pre-commissioning phase

Quality

Records the results of all pre-commissioning tests and settings on the appropriate records documents (ITR, packages, electrical drawing mark-up …)
Provide as-built electrical drawing validated for Process-Commissioning
Provide Hands-on training to operator/client for the electrical installation

Required Skills

Electrical cabling and troubleshooting knowledge for electrical testing and setting
at least 7 years experience in treatment plants
Construction and installation inspection tests
Knowledge in PLC panels testing and supply
Knowledgeable in automation and Scada systems interfaces
Leadership to supervise supplier’s activities
Organisation: work organisation, ensure good follow-up of planning given, troubleshooting planning
QHSE: Safety rules to ensure safe working conditions (colleagues + contractors)
English is required
