Electric/Automation Mechanical Estimator

• Technical education (mechatronics, automation engineering, electrical engineering)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to successfully manage the customer relations function as it relates to the proposal process.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software is a requirement of the position.
• The ability to work with others in a team atmosphere.
• Proficiency in English is mandatory, German knowledge is advantageous.
• Electric design knowledge is advantageous (E-Plan, P-Plan)
• Knowledge of design, manufacturing, install and launch processes

• Build and propose the controls architecture, create the BOM and evaluate the materials and work force costs
• Prepare complete ︁︀​︂︃︃​︉︉​︁︂︈and enter costing in standard Microsoft Excel format which correlates to Valiant’s Manufacturing Process.
• Coordinate with Project Manager for timeline revisions.
• Engage Valiant TMS Purchasing Dept. to gather commercial and/or historical pricing data for use in quote.
• Understanding the function of process and tooling, all internal, external components including automation, robotic systems, and assembly systems.
• Assist in developing improvements in estimating practices, standards in proposal and costing and more cost efficient designs / manufacturing practices.
• Prepare, conduct and/or assist in technical presentations to customers when required.
• Conduct line-up for project team on change orders received.
• Be able to travel out-of-country, if required.
• Other duties as assigned by Management.
