Job Description- Ensure all classification instructions for all shipments for all customers.
- Monitor duty deferment usage and levels.
- Monitor license/visa applications.
- Ensure all new business is transitioned correctly.
- Make 2 (two) F2F calls per week – Retention/Sales
- Maintain a positive relationship with the Trade Compliance Manager and support all compliance efforts and trainings.
- Promote productivity tools (e.g., using E-Doc, process management, customsware usage/Expo customs.
- Audit of files in accordance to AEO
- Follow up refunds with customs authorities.
- Management of customs system
- Send client report requests through the available database (expo request, expo reporting)
- Provide content for customer reviews – duty/vat,
- Be open to implementing new system changes and enhancements into your department.
- Review and conduct staff appraisals and one to one meeting timely in line with the 3+1 Initiative
- Assist supervisor and key staff with goal setting and monitoring development.
- Global logistics industry knowledge
- Good computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word)
- Fluent in English
- Proven problem solving, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
- 3-5 years of Customs Broker’s specific knowledge
