Chief Accountant / Sr. Accountant – On-Site

We're looking for someone who has:

Minimum University Degree in Accounting and/or Finance;
Chartered Accountant / CECAR accreditation;
5-7 years of hands-on experience as a Chief Accountant / Sr. Accountant;
10-15+ years’ experience in accounting and financial management;
Experience in industries such as: construction, production; manufacturing, etc.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, tax legislation and operational processes;
Great organizational and communication skills, accuracy and attention to details;
Experience in leading an accounting team and strong people skills;
Advanced English skills.

Main responsibilities:

​►Reports into CFO and dotted line to COO and CEO.
​►Organizes, leads, controls and is responsible ︁︀​︂︃︃​︇︁​︆︄for the efficiency of the group's accounting department in accordance with the legal provisions in force;
​►Ensures and is responsible for the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements (P&L & Balance Sheet) according to the terms established by the legislation in force – RAS and timely submissions to state authorities;
​►Ensures communication with public authorities such as ANAF, DITL, INS, BNR; etc.
​►Ensures, organizes and effectively manages the integrity of the entire patrimony for companies from the group in accordance with the legal provisions in force and the company's internal rules or regulations;
​►Organizes and coordinates capital and project operations accounting, fixed assets accounting, inventory accounting, third-party payroll accounting, treasury accounting, expense, income and result accounting, commitment and other asset accounting, management accounting;
​►Organizes and coordinates preventive financial and internal controls;
​►Organizes the control of patrimonial operations;
​►Supervises the reconciliation and closing of accounts;
​►Performs financial and accounting analysis on B/S, P&L, operations, cost centres, project costing;
​►Provides support to CFO with variance analyses and explanations for the monthly executive reporting package (P&L, BS, explanatory notes);
​►Coordinates and provides support for the external year-end audits.
​►Approves works on stock accounting issues, tracking, records, settlements, expenses-incomes, balance sheet, system analysis, calculation technique;
​►Performs any other tasks and ad-hoc projects as requested by the executive team;
​►Manages and develops the accounting team, accounting procedures and policies and proposes continuous improvements.
