Descrierea jobului
You will have the important and fun job of understanding data and making it understandable to our clients.
You’ll ︁︀︂︃︃︈︃︀mainly work with PowerBI and Microsoft Fabric. The main day-to-day activities are:
- Building scripts, ETL/ELT, data workflows (Python, notebooks, PySpark, SQL, etc)
- Building semantic models and measures (Power Query and DAX development)
- Creating dashboards and visuals
- Managing PowerBI Service
- Working with APIs to understand and collect the data we work with
- Creating prototypes and PoCs (proofs of concept)

We are a start-up. The company’s vision is my vision now and I am searching for people to take part in this vision and shape it.
Understand and help others understand the world through data
If you think about it, data is pieces of reality. The collection, transformation, visualization and interpretation of these pieces is an ongoing process that requires great skill and a combination of a great many skills. No one can do all of this well, but a team has a chance. That’s why I am trying to create a great team.
Leaving the philosophical words aside for now, most of the data understanding we need to do is commercial. That’s because, fortunately or unfortunately, that’s the class of data that’s most paid for. Once we are a big enough team we’ll pursue other projects besides commercial ones. For now, we aim for mastery in what we do and to earn well at the same time. Knowledge and resources will overcome anything.
While I work with non-Romanians, I want to encourage and find fellow Romanians to take part in this vision. We’ve done great things in other fields and we can do great things with data too. Just see the case of Databricks. Two of the founders and Romanians.
