Ideal Candidate
Bachelor/Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economical Engineering or similar;
Proven experience in transportation or logistics management.
Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Capability to work under pressure and adapt to changing scenarios.
Fluency in English/Italian;
Proficient in MS Office, other specific platforms would be a plus (SAP, Transporeon)
Job Description
Guarantees the delivery of the goods in compliance with the set objectives in terms of costs and level of service
Negotiates with the suppliers of logistics services according to the Corporate guidelines
Systematically assesses the quality of the service of the carriers
Assesses the suppliers of logistics services according to the Group's guidelines
Operates daily in order to achieve the level of service required by the customers and periodic monitoring and proposes solutions for the relevant improvement, in accordance with the instructions from the Marketing & Sales Department
Interfaces with the relevant company departments to manage the transport operations of the materials and/or goods
Guarantees the monitoring of the transport invoices of suppliers
Collaborates with the Manager to assist the corporate departments with logistics issues
Assists the Manager with drafting the budget proposal of the distribution logistics
Guarantees correct management of the relevant processes in compliance with the Group's policies and procedures
Guarantees the issuance of the transport documents for all outgoing goods from the Plant and the relative filing
Interfaces with the company departments if issues are noted on the sales order of goods that are to be delivered
Guarantees the set-up of a loading list, when possible
Ensures to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks
Ensures to verify compliance between the weight of the shipped product and the value recorded on the system
Manages any issues noted
Guarantees correct management of the relevant processes in compliance with the Group's policies and procedures
Responsible for the integration, professional growth, development and motivation of the collaborators

SOFIDEL Romania
Sofidel Romania produces tissue paper reels and manufactures finished products for the Consumer market. The plant – located in Călăraşi, in a strategic position between Bucharest and Constanta (near the Bulgarian border) for serving Southeastern European countries – was acquired by Sofidel in March 2010.
