- Strong knowledge of scaffolding techniques, materials, and safety practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project plans.
- Good physical condition and ability to work at heights.
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with other trades.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on safety.
- High school diploma or equivalent; scaffolding certification or training is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the job.
Job Description
A Few Good Lads is seeking skilled Scaffolders to join our network for opportunities across Canada and the US. We have a unique opportunity for tradespeople looking to emigrate. The ideal candidate will have experience in erecting and dismantling scaffolding structures for a variety of projects, ensuring safety and efficiency. Work with top companies in North America on large-scale commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and dismantle scaffolding systems for use on construction sites, ensuring stability and safety.
- Measure and cut scaffolding materials to the required specifications.
- Inspect scaffolding structures to ensure they are secure and comply with safety standards.
- Follow blueprints and project plans to create scaffolding layouts that support the work being performed.
- Maintain scaffolding tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure scaffolding work is completed efficiently and in compliance with local regulations and safety standards.
- Work closely with other trades and contractors to ensure the timely completion of construction projects.
- Conduct safety inspections and adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Remove scaffolding from completed sites as required.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Work Conditions:
This role may require you to work in all weather conditions, inside and outside. Locations of work may vary within the radius of your chosen location: Vancouver, Toronto, Victoria (BC) or Kelowna (BC). Sourcing your own means of transportation to and from your working location will be required (the majority of our work-force use public transit with no issues!)
We schedule our workers on a 40 hour per week basis (Monday-Friday), with pay days falling bi-weekly on a Friday. Shift times may vary, however our usual shift is 7:30am-3:30pm (8 hours). Overtime may be required on occasion and will be paid within the provincial employee pay legislation guidelines.
