Ideal Candidate

Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (>=B2).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in the SAP environment, MDG or MDS
  • Sound knowledge of the SAP data models in SAP R/3 and S/4 HANA
  • Experience with task management, bug tracking, and wiki-based documentation tools, such as Azure DevOps, is essential.
  • Proven experience in 2nd Level Support, with a strong focus on analyzing, addressing, and resolving complex technical issues, as well as escalating cases to 3rd Level Support or development teams when necessary.
  • Analytical skills, with a strategic mindset.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for translating business requirements into application logic and workflows.
  • Effective collaboration in cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams.
  • Fluency in German is a significant advantage. (>=A2)

Job Description

Essential tasks:
  • Monitoring of incoming and outgoing IDOCs
  • Error analysis in business partner data
  • Documenting and categorizing incidents in the MDG system
  • Monitoring workflow and master data quality using MDG-specific tools
  • 2nd level support for the company-wide MDG system
  • Configuration of data models, validations, and workflows
  • Creating user documentation and information
  • Real-time monitoring of workflows
  • Harmonizing master data processes and ensuring that the entire organization benefits from optimized data
  • Providing MDG business process expertise to customers
  • Consulting and supporting business partners in process maintenance and optimization within the SAP MDG application landscape
  • Knowledge in data cleaning, data quality, and data harmonization/consolidation
  • Management and customization of user roles, authorizations, and security settings
  • Collaborating with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Working closely with end users and internal departments
  • Liaising between technical teams and end users to clarify problems
  • Ensuring that problems are resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Detailed documentation of incidents, troubleshooting, and solutions in ticket systems such as ServiceNow or Jira (company solution)
  • Proven experience in 2nd Level Support, with a strong focus on analyzing, addressing, and resolving complex technical issues, as well as escalating cases to 3rd Level Support or development teams when necessary.
