Job Description

What will your role be?
  • Design, implement, and review collection strategies that support the company’s overall business goals.
  • Ensure all debt recovery activities comply with state and federal regulations through regular compliance audits.
  • Resolve complex disputes and manage escalated complaints related to collections.
  • Approve the process for writing off bad debts that cannot be recovered.
  • Ensure all collection efforts strictly follow applicable laws and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform audits to assess the compliance of collection practices with legal standards.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of collection activities, including the status of accounts receivable.
  • Use performance data and compliance assessments to recommend and implement improvements.
  • Lead negotiations with debtors to arrange repayment plans or settlements.
  • Oversee and approve the write-off of unrecoverable debts.
  • Oversee recruitment, selection, and performance evaluations, fostering a culture of high achievement.
  • Serve as a point of contact between senior leadership and team members, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Legal Manager or in a similar Legal Collection management role.
  • Strong people orientation and results-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience with Legal collection metrics and analytics.
  • Ability to design strategies complemented by strong leadership capabilities.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in building and managing interpersonal relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in collection.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Legal Sciences
