The Indirect Buyer is responsible for the execution of transactional procurement activities such as requisition processing, purchase order maintenance. The position is part of Emerson’s Indirect Purchasing Operations which serves internal business partners. The position processes transactions in Emerson’s purchasing systems and engages business partners to address their Accounts Payable (AP) inquiries and resolve process exceptions.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Guides business partners to the appropriate buy/pay channel for their purchasing requests;
* Processes requisitions to be converted to purchase orders, analyzing them for completeness and accuracy;
* Analyzes reports generated from purchasing systems to identify areas of noncompliance, process exceptions and incomplete transactions;
* Supports continuous improvement opportunities to drive process perfection, reduce turnaround times and increase compliance with Procurement policies and procedures;
* Builds collaborative relationships with business partners and other Procurement teams to ensure the Indirect Procurement Operations is viewed as a valued partner;
* Addresses inquiries raised by vendors and business collaborators related to purchasing transactions (e.g., requisitions, POs, etc.);
* Invoice reconciliation, checking the bank accounts of our suppliers we collaborate with, and making sure that all invoices are ready to be paid;
* Crafts and updates supplier profiles in our system, in order to issue purchase orders.

For This Role, You Will Need:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience;
* Advanced in writing and speaking English;
* Proven ability to work in multicultural virtual environment;
* Excellent administration skills;
* Computer literate;
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Knowledge of an ERP based systems such as JDE, ORACLE, SAP etc. (Oracle preferred) it’s a plus;
* Excellent team player;
* Methodical approach to work;
* Can work with minimum supervision.
