Ideal Candidate

The Director of Finance Transformation will lead and drive the finance transformation agenda across the finance organization, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. This role is responsible for reengineering finance processes, implementing best practices, and leveraging technology to enhance financial efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making capabilities. The Director will work closely with senior leadership, finance teams, our shared service centers in Cluj, Romania and Manila, Philippines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
  • 12+ years of experience in finance, including 5+ years in a leadership or transformation role.
  • Proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale finance transformation initiatives, including process optimization.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Deep understanding of finance systems, process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), and financial technologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive change, manage cross-functional teams, and influence senior leaders across the organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to balance short-term priorities with long-term strategic goals.

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategy Development and Execution:
  • Lead the development and execution of the Finance Back Office Transformation strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and priorities.
  • Define transformation roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics for the finance function.
  • Provide strategic direction and guidance to the finance leadership team to ensure effective implementation of transformation initiatives.
  • Establish overall Transformation governance structure and KPI’s.

Process Optimization and Efficiency:
  • Drive the reengineering of financial processes to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve data accuracy.
  • Lead initiatives to improve financial reporting, financial close processes, credit and collections and purchase to pay ensuring consistency and timeliness across the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve the quality and customer experience.

Technology Integration and Innovation:
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and integration of finance technology solutions (e.g., robotic process automation, AI tools) to modernize finance operations. The role will also look to optimize existing tools.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in finance technology and innovation, ensuring the finance function leverages the latest tools to stay competitive.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and adoption of digital tools across finance teams.

Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Manage large-scale finance transformation projects, including stakeholder engagement, risk management, and communication across departments.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support the transition to new systems, processes, and ways of working.
  • Work closely with business leaders to ensure successful adoption and alignment of transformation initiatives with broader business goals.

Governance and Compliance:
  • Ensure that finance transformation initiatives adhere to regulatory standards and internal governance policies.
  • Establish frameworks for monitoring the performance of new processes and systems to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Leadership and Team Development:
  • 4 to 5 direct reports including Global Process Leads for Record to Report, Credit and Collections and Accounts Payable as well as a Project Manager and Change Management lead.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing transformation team, providing coaching and guidance to help team members achieve their professional development goals.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the finance function.

Performance Tracking and Reporting:
  • Implement metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of finance transformation initiatives and measure progress against objectives.
  • Regularly report progress to the CFO and senior leadership, providing insights on key outcomes, challenges, and areas of improvement.

Financial Stewardship and Risk Management:
  • Collaborate with other finance leaders to ensure that finance transformation efforts support sound financial management and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure that new processes and systems maintain the integrity of financial data and minimize operational risk.
