REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering or a related field
- Five (5) years of demonstrated planning/scheduling experience in large construction projects using Primavera P6
- Earned Value Management
- EPC environment experience, ability to understand project scope, project schedule objectives and developing/maintaining various schedule requirements
- Understanding of the basic principles of Project Management. PMI Certification (SP, CAPM, PMP) would be an asset
- Knowledge of BIM and 4D scheduling (Building Information Modeling); BIM is becoming increasingly important in construction. Experience with BIM software and integrating planning with BIM models could be an advantage.
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate at creation and implementation of the integrated EPC schedule for projects
- Monitor, collect and enter progress on a regular basis for the project
- Responsible for integrating BIM processes into project planning and utilizing 4D scheduling to enhance project visualization and coordination. This role requires a deep knowledge of construction planning, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Procurement, and Construction to define schedule requirements and work sequence
- Develop and maintain regular scheduling reporting including but not limited to look ahead schedules, Manpower, Earned Value Reporting, and others reports as required
- Work with subcontractors to integrate schedules into the master schedule
- Review project schedule and drive communication to project leadership when risk areas are identified with appropriate mitigation plans to assure on time delivery
- Provide a resource loaded and leveled project schedule which clearly identifies critical path and float areas
- Perform ongoing schedule analysis, critical path analysis, earned value analysis, risk analysis reporting, evaluate, and recommend schedule improvements and opportunities
- Thorough understanding construction progress reporting
- Prepare and deliver accurate and on time reporting to meet contractual requirements
- Work with Cost management team to gain alignment when forecasting schedule completion dates
- Support the project team to provide clear visibility on status and schedule both internally and to subcontractors
- Support senior management and planning personnel as appropriate
- Provide guidance and support to planning staff as required
