Ideal Candidate
- A minimum of 10 years of extensive and proven experience in managing and overseeing large- projects, with a project value range of minimum €50 to €100 million or more.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects within the showcasing strong project management skills and the ability to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Substantial experience in international oil and gas projects, indicating a deep understanding of global industry practices, regulations, and cross-cultural considerations.
- Fluent English speaker, with exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with a diverse team and stakeholders from different countries.
- Proficiency in technical and engineering concepts related to water, energy or oil and gas projects, including design, construction, procurement, and commissioning.
Job Description
- As the right hand of the general project management, to fulfil the role of the general construction manager of huge water pipeline projects in UAE.
- To manage three to five deputy construction managers, who are responsible for their sections
- To oversee route survey and onshore pipelines, both basic engineering and EPCI phases
- To coordinate and update the project progress to involved departments, including troubleshooting and suggesting possible solutions until the problem has been solved;
- To prepare and present monthly reports and figures from the progress, costs, technical details, quality and health activities
- To manage all relevant construction activities on site from detail design phase over the construction execution phase until testing, mechanical completion and start up of all pipeline facilities
- Supervises Contractors to carry out the FEED, detailed engineering, equipment/ material specifications, procurement strategy, pipeline material packages, coating, transportation and pipeline laying;
- To ensure that all tasks are executed in accordance with the project strategies, project specifications & procedures, HSEQ requirements, and within timeframe while maintaining the highest work quality level;
- Ensure that all pipeline engineering activities comply with project specifications, codes and standards, 3rd Party agreements, authority regulations, and local/international legislation;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with international stakeholders, partners, and clients, fostering effective communication and rapport.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractors, to ensure seamless project progress and alignment
- Oversee and manage the entire lifecycle of the assigned project, ensuring efficient execution, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Monitor project performance metrics, budgets, schedules, and milestones, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure successful project delivery.
