Job Description
Content Creation and Management:
● Develop, write, and edit content in English and Romanian for the school website, newsletters, announcements, and
other materials as assigned by the Communications Manager.
● Oversee the creation and publication of key school publications, including the Annual Report and Yearbook.
● Keep track of the yearly updates for the school's external communication materials.
● Work together with the school photographer to create relevant content across platforms.
● Collaborate with departments to ensure that all content is accurate, timely, and reflective of the school's brand,
voice and standards.
Social Media (SM) Management:
● Manage all school social media accounts and platforms.
● Create engaging and relevant content tailored to the school's audience.
● Respond to messages, comments, and requests in a timely manner.
● Oversee the promotion of school events and announcements across social media channels.
● Coordinate social media postings with staff members throughout the school.
● Capture photos to support content creation, publications, and social media posts.
● Create comprehensive data analysis on AISB SM accounts and annual competition reports.
Events support:
● Provide communication support for school events, including creating and distributing promotional materials,
assisting with event planning and logistics as needed, managing event-related communications, including
invitations, announcements, and follow-ups
● Ensure that all events are well-publicized and that communication is consistent across all platforms.
Graphic Design and Project Support:
● Provide basic design, editing, and proofing services for projects across school departments.
● Oversee the creation, layout, and production of printed and digital materials. (in collaboration with a graphic
designer)
● Perform tasks such as printing, trimming, and folding to support school events and communications.
Content Proofing and Advisory:
● Proofread and provide feedback on content for the school website, school publications, including the yearbook,
blogs, announcements, and media releases any other materials as assigned by the Communications Manager
● Ensure consistency in style, tone, and branding across all materials.
GDPR Compliance:
● Review and advise on the GDPR compliance of all materials intended for external publication.
● Ensure proper use of consent forms and appropriate handling of student information.
● Work with all departments to maintain GDPR compliance in all external communications.
Community Building Support:
● Develop and implement initiatives that promote a sense of belonging and inclusivity among students, parents, staff,
alumni, AISB & Co (Parent Organization), and the wider school community.
● Develop and maintain relationships with alumni and AISB & Co members, creating programs and events that keep
them connected to the school community and provide opportunities for mentoring, volunteering, and networking.
● Engage with local organizations, businesses, community leaders, alumni, and AISB & Co to build partnerships that
benefit the school community.
● Develop and implement programs or initiatives that ensure all community members feel valued and included.
● Gather feedback from community members, including alumni and AISB & Co, on initiatives and events, and use this
information to continuously improve community-building efforts.
Support Internal communication:
● Support the leadership team with their scheduled weekly/ urgent communications.
● Work with specialized 3rd parties in drafting surveys to gather employee feedback on communication effectiveness
and engagement.
● Offer training sessions to employees on effectively using SM platforms.
● Support the internal promotion of events, such as team-building activities, Director’s Updates or social gatherings.

AISB was founded in 1962 and is currently Bucharest's largest international school.
