In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and overseeing the entire accounting and tax process of the legal entity. You also own statutory accounting and fiscal timeliness and compliance.
Requirements:
- You should have a bachelor’s degree in economics with a minimum 5 years of experience in accounting (of which for at least 1 year in a similar position with subordinates)
- Very good knowledge of accounting and fiscal legislation
- Experience in working with Business Central (Navision) is a plus
- Very good computer skills - Microsoft Excel, ERP system implementation
- Moderate English language knowledge
- Ability to take responsibility and make decisions
- Good communication skills, teamwork spirit, team management, and problem-solving skills
- Result and performance-oriented
- Good time management, able to respect deadlines, stress, and pressure resilient, especially during the month-end closure
- Certified accountant – CECCAR preferred - considered as a plus.
Job Description
- Check the accounting records made by the direct reports and ensure training and guidance for improved results.
- Oversee and manage the company's day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, expense reports, payroll, etc., ensuring they are accurately recorded and compliant with applicable accounting and reporting standards.
- Supervise and maintain the depreciable assets registry, calculate and book depreciation in line with regulations.
- Led the preparation and booking of monthly accruals and other key accounting entries.
- Oversee bank statement reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate bookings.
- Prepare and ensure the submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal and statistical declarations, following the applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements, as well as timely payment to authorities.
- Manage the month-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial closure.
- Coordinate the annual inventory process and ensure accurate recording of results.
- Prepare and review the company's financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards.
- Play a key role in internal and external audits, ensuring that all information is accurate and accessible and ensuring good collaboration with tax authorities and company auditors.
- Provide strategic support for the implementation of various financial products and initiatives, including system testing and process improvements.
- Take ownership of other specific accounting-related tasks and projects as needed, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close, according to local reporting standards and deadlines set up by the Company management
- Collaborates with tax authorities and company auditors.
- Draw up reports and statistics and send them to the company management regularly or on request
- Provide support for company management in decision-making by providing specific information
