Job Description
With a strong understanding of the OpCo strategy, business, and processes, the Business Procurement Manager represents the business’s interests and supports strategic, tactical, and operational procurement activities as:
• Manage Procurement Categories (Direct Category)
• Develops, implements, and monitors the procurement plan, taking ownership for the assigned portfolio.
• Translates the overall Procurement strategy and business needs into a Procurement Roadmap to identify value opportunities.
• Develops and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Alignes procurement strategies and approaches with relevant subcategories within the overall procurement strategy.
• Local Portfolio Management: Manage a business portfolio consisting of high-volume or critical materials/services with medium to high sourcing complexity and business impact.
• Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships at tactical and strategic levels with internal stakeholders across Procurement and OpCo, as well as external suppliers and partners at both local and global levels.
• Supplier Management: Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to establish framework agreements at the OpCo level. Monitor supplier performance, enhance relationships, and drive innovation.
• Provides insights, both proactively and upon request, regarding procurement developments, including category spend (via PowerBI), forecasting, budgeting, contract coverage, payment terms, and complaints.
• Project Management: Initiate, plan, and execute local/OpCo-specific procurement projects.
• Contract & Agreement Management: Draft, monitor, and adjust local agreements as necessary. Manage the continuation of local/OpCo-specific agreements in consultation with relevant categories and legal teams. Ensure compliance with all applicable procurement agreements.
