Job Description

As Accounting Specialist in our GFS organization, you will be delivering first class accounting services for Professional Tools entities, and you will work in a dynamic team with a high focus on personal development with ambitious, varied tasks and responsibility from the outset. 
As an Accounting Specialist, you will support The United States and European organizations in daily Fixed Assets tasks as well as during month end closing. You will be part of a big team based in the Cluj Campus and which is supporting/performing Professional Tools accounting activities for Europe but you will work closely only with the Pro Tools US Fixed Assets Senior Specialist.
 

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
* Work with Capital Appropriation Requests (AR) and details that support capital spending.
* Prepare monthly capital ARs status report and distribute to key departments.
* Prepare necessary entries for adjustments and corrections to capital projects.
* Handle and set up capital projects upon approval.
* Place capital projects into service and prepare support documentation for the assets.
* Collaborate with team members to monitor asset disposals and movements.
* Record Fixed Asset sales, transfers and dispositions in the accounting system.
* Calculate depreciation for all Fixed assets.
* Review and update the detailed schedules of Fixed Assets capitalization and accumulated depreciation.
* Maintain Fixed Asset Subledger details.
* Prepare necessary standard and recurring journal entries as well as posting all approved journals related to fixed assets.
* Perform accounting activities as per established accounting standards, procedures and schedules.
* Investigate and communicate with project owners on capital project overspending.
* Performs Closing & Reporting activities.
* Monthly reconciliation of Fixed Assets Subledger to the General Ledger.
* Assist the auditors in their inquiries.
* Track company expenditures for Fixed Assets in comparison to the capital budget and management approvals.
* Perform analyses related to Fixed Assets as requested by management.
* Assists with various projects related to Fixed Assets and specific process implementations also related to fixed assets.
* Offer full support to the Team Leader in ensuring standardization of all processes across the market units within the Shared Service.
* Other related duties which may be assigned by superiors.

For This Role, You Will Need:
* University or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration and/or working. 
* Proficient English language skills; 
* Minimum 1-2 year experience in Financial Accounting/ Fixed Assets is required, preferably in an international / Corporate environment 
* High level of curiosity, Demeanor of continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
* Experience working in a matrix structure would be of an advantage;
* Knowledge of Oracle, SAP or Syteline together with HFM preferred;
* Advanced Excel skills;
