Security Officer

Work Location: Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County, Romania (2024) and Constanta (2025)

This position is addressed to applicants already resident and with valid work permit in Romania at the time of application.

To the beginning of the project, it might be required the availability of the candidate to perform the work activity from Aricestii Rahtivani, Prahova County and continue to the execution project phase in Constanta County.

Tasks:

Coordinate project security activities at project site level.

Provide support to Security Area Manager, to Employer and to Project Director for the evaluation and management of project security risks, ensuring that the applicable laws and the Saipem regulations are adhered to at all times.

Manage security risks and risk mitigation processes, ensuring laws and company regulations are properly applied.

Provide technical and organizational support for project site security activities.

Ensure correct application of corporate security standards, criteria, operating procedures, and regulations in all security activities at project site level.

In liaison with the Security Area Manager in managing project and/or local emergency and crisis situations.

Report second or higher-level emergencies immediately to the Security Area Manager, and Employer providing a description of the event as well as of the solutions adopted. Provide prompt and continuous updates on the emergencies.

Monitor implementation of all contracts related to project site security services, including the quality of services, the costs, and the timing of the subcontracted security activities, as well as performing quality evaluations of vendors’ security services.

Ensure proper development and/or implementation of the project site security and evacuation plans.

Ensure adequate monitoring of security budget at project site level and forecasts in relation to security services, as well as reporting of security costs for activities carried out at project site level.

Ensure relations with local public authorities, project site security issues are maintained.

Define awareness and training programs (security inductions) regarding security matters for project site personnel.

Inform the Employer/Security Area Manager with regard to every security event relevant to/with the pertinent project site including human rights violations-in accordance with the relevant security procedures.

Coordinate investigation, reporting and flow of information for project security events.

At project site level, intervene promptly, together with the Security Area Manager and the Employer, when a dangerous situation arises that threatens the safety of employees, contractors and third parties or of Company assets and reputation.

Implement, in agreement with the Security Area Manager any and all actions that will prevent security risks to employees, third parties, the environment and the public.

Support any other activities as requested by the Security Area Manager within the project scope of work.

Ensure the flow of information and reporting to the interested parties.

The ideal Candidate should preferably possess the following:

A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor’s degree is a must, and Master is a plus.

Former experience with defense and security institutions would be preferable.

Knowledge and use of IT tools related to the business processes.

Fluent in written and spoken English.
