Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Possess a working knowledge of accounting concepts as well as an intermediate level
understanding of property damage claims, business interruption claims, extra expense
claims, and other insurance and litigation engagements.
o Demonstrate an intermediate level understanding of insurance policy terms
and concepts.
• Create and manage effective interpersonal relationships, including assisting in the
supervision, utilization, workflow and training of Staff Accountants and Interns.
• Provide constructive feedback to Staff Accountants and Interns to encourage learning
and growth.
• Review detailed documentation received and prepare an analysis and schedule for
supervisor review.
• Assume responsibility to manage fieldwork operations.
• Comprehensively supervise smaller files and certain portions of large losses.
• Demonstrate ability to calculate co-insurance, monthly limits, and other advanced
coverage issues.
• Exhibit an understanding of the roles of other industry professionals (public adjusters,
brokers, salvers, etc.)
• Prepare and review formal reports.
• Identify potential problem areas or issues during the claims evaluation process and
communicate those issues to supervisors.
• Consistently provide quality work product.
• Consistently meet established deadlines ensuring that work is complete and adequate
time has been provided for review processes.
• Follow client’s administrative practices including entering time, reporting expenses,
preparing performance reviews, and completing other requested administrative
requirements on a timely basis.
• Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of software applications (Excel, Word,
Outlook, and PowerPoint), as well as research techniques regarding various industries.
• Comply with the continuing professional education requirements of governing bodies.
• Communicate regularly with supervisors regarding status of file, current analysis being
performed and findings to date.
• Assist with the recruiting efforts of professionals for the firm.
• Respect and maintain the confidential and proprietary nature of the documentation and
information obtained.
• Project a professional image as a representative of the firm and a role model for staff.

•Accounting/Business (or related) degree preferred.
• Languages:
-French and Italian/Spanish or
-German and ︃︁︄︉︂︇︃︃Italian/Spanish.
• English-advanced;
• CPA preferred, but not required.
• 2 to 3 years accounting experience (public accounting preferred).
• Basic knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry.
• Interest and ability to serve the needs of all clients (internal and external).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and delegate workflow.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
