Automatica SA is hiring a Senior Electrical Design Engineer.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer with extensive knowledge in designing low-voltage switchboards and/or medium-voltage equipment for complex installations in the energy or industrial sectors. This role involves both technical expertise and leadership in design, ensuring the integration of electrical systems within larger projects.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with automation equipment and systems from Siemens, Eaton, Schneider, and/or ABB.
- Experience working in EX environments (INSEMEX certification is an advantage).

Requirements:
- Higher education in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Automation.
- Advanced English language skills, with a focus on technical vocabulary.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing medium and/or low-voltage electrical equipment.
- Proven experience working in multidisciplinary design teams.
- Experience in international project collaboration is an advantage.
- Knowledge of project management principles, particularly in design and/or R&D.
- Proficiency in design software: Eplan, AutoCAD.
- Core knowledge and experience is an advantage:
- Familiarity with automation equipment and systems from Siemens, Eaton, Schneider, and/or ABB.
- Experience working in EX environments (INSEMEX certification is an advantage).
- Familiarity with software and communication protocols specific to electrical equipment design.
- Experience with MCC equipment such as Sivacon, Okken, and/or X-Energy is a plus.
- Experience in configuring, programming, and parameterizing devices and equipment (e.g., SIMARIS, XSOFT Codesys, STEP, DIGSI).
- Knowledge of SolidWorks for integrating electrical designs into mechanical projects is an advantage.
- Strong commitment to quality, meeting deadlines, and process efficiency.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
