Senior Accountant

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology-driven company.

• Proficiency in DATEV is mandatory.
• Experience with NetSuite ERP is highly desirable.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.

• In-depth understanding of German GAAP, IFRS, and European VAT regulations.
• Familiarity with accounting for permanent establishments in Europe.

• Fluency in German is required.
• Proficiency in English is highly desirable, given our international operations.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of AP and AR processes.
• Ensure timely and accurate recording, processing, and payment of invoices.
• Monitor accounts receivable, ensure timely collection, and maintain aging reports.

• Prepare, analyze, and ensure the accuracy of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement).
• Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial reports.
• Support the implementation and integration of NetSuite ERP into the existing accounting and financial processes.

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with German accounting standards using DATEV.
• Work on data migration, reconciliations, and integration within DATEV.

• Ensure compliance with European VAT laws, including preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Manage VAT reporting and oversee accounting for permanent establishments (PEs) in different European countries.
• Collaborate with tax advisors to ensure tax compliance and resolve any tax-related issues.

• Liaise with external auditors and ensure readiness for audits, both internal and statutory.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.

• Partner with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and support business decisions.
• Work closely with the finance and management teams to provide insights into financial performance.

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems for efficiency and scalability.
• Stay updated on changes in German GAAP, IFRS, and European accounting standards.
