What the candidate should/must have

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a related field, or have a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in the design, development, and operation of Java-based software systems.
• Possessing strong expertise in working with relational databases (such as Postgres, MySQL) as well as NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Working with Linux as a server operating system is second nature
• Hands-on experience in the conceptual design of cloud architectures, with a preference for AWS (alternatively, Azure or Google Cloud).
• Ideally, the candidate is familiar with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and an independent work style.
• With a hands-on mentality, the candidate can maintain an overview and actively contribute to change processes.
• The candidate thrive in a team environment and is eager to contribute to shaping and driving success, both independently and collaboratively.
• Willing to travel to Germany on a regular basis.

What the candidate will do:

• Collaborate within our product development team to advance and redesign our established software solutions. Working closely with team members and stakeholders, you will gather requirements and develop tailored solutions.
• Take on key responsibilities in the planning, conceptualization, and development phases, playing an active role in shaping the software architecture.
• Assess various technologies, platforms, and frameworks, selecting the most appropriate ones for each project. This includes choosing databases, servers, and other infrastructure components.
• Help further refine our development standards and processes to foster a consistent and efficient working environment.
• Mentor and support junior developers, guiding their growth and helping them make meaningful contributions to the team.
