Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, business, supply chain, purchasing or operations or related discipline.
- 3+ years experience in a buyer role.
- Preferable automotive industry but not a must.
- Fluent in English , it’s a plus German.
- Good at buying, negotiation

Job Description
The Operational Buyer for Direct materials is responsible for the regional projects post SOP , assuring the Quality, deliveries and cost associated activities; He/She will be the first point of escalation, internal and external, for Supplier issues regarding the operational part of procurement.
Key Job Areas Of Responsibilities;
- Delivery Tracking: Monitor deliveries and coordinate with transport companies for timely arrival.
- Logistics and Quality Oversight: Act as the primary interface for logistics and quality issues; address concerns per escalation protocols.
- Supplier Coordination: Manage past due reductions, procurement for mass production, and maintain communication with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Inventory Optimization: Organize logistics activities and optimize inventory management (MOQ, EDI, consignment).
- Support Commodity Objectives: Collaborate on productivity goals and capacity gap analysis; contribute to value engineering (VE) initiatives for regional projects.
- Execute Productivity Actions: Implement VE, resourcing, and logistics strategies in alignment with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
- Manage Engineering Changes: Oversee post-SOP engineering changes with suppliers and handle quality and delivery claims.
- Pricing Management: update and route pricing data in Pro Alpha for approval.
- Gap Closure Action Plan: Define and initiate actions to address capacity and productivity gaps.
- Supplier Performance: Assist in supplier performance reviews and action plan tracking.
- Finance Collaboration: Coordinate with finance to resolve invoice issues.
