Job Description
Your responsibilities will include
Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance, product development, and risk management
Implement and maintain effective compliance policies and procedures to minimize legal risk exposure; maintain internal documentation structures
Advise on corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, corporate policies, and shareholder agreements
Ensure compliance with laws and regulations of the company
Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents and contracts with providers
Provide legal advice on deal structuring and assist with drafting and negotiating transaction documents
Provide advice and replies for customer complaints
Collaborate with Bailiff entities to ensure smooth collaboration with debtors
Monitoring of swift and quality responses to regulatory inquires (NBR, ANPC, ARD, other)
Representing company interests in association meetings
Engagement in internal audit missions
Supporting DPO and data protection requirements in the company
Support the company in AML matters
The requirements for the role:
Law degree from university; Master’s in law will be considered as an advantage
2+ years post university work experience with a proven track record in fintech, reputable law firm, preferably in financial services practice, or legal function of an investment firm, bank or other regulated financial institution in the EU
Proven track record in regulatory compliance and contract management
Strong contract drafting skills
Strong understanding and knowledge of corporate law and financial services regulation related to consumer lending and its regulatory compliance
Very good legal Romanian and English, including hands-on experience in legal writing
